Laminated Glass

Laminated Glass

Laminated glass is made by combining two or more architectural glass panels with polyvinyl butyral (PVB) or Ionaplast (Sentry Glas) interlayers under heat and pressure.

Laminated glass, which reduces the risk of injury by holding the pieces in place in the event of breakage, is produced in accordance with EN14449 and EN12543 standards and is considered safety glass due to this feature.

Laminated glass is also the right choice in terms of preventing (EN12600) or delaying (EN356) unwanted transitions from one side to the other. Therefore, it is a standard and typical solution for the interior glass of insulation units used in display windows, inclined or overhead glazing in areas of use.

Laminated glass is also useful for preserving the natural colors of objects for a longer period of time with its low UV transmittance. Applications where UV transmittance is desired; such as botanical gardens; It is possible to use PVB or Sentry Glas interlayers with this transmittance.
